The Hakkoda Volcanic Group area within the Nasu Volcanic Belt is called the Hakkoda Mountain Range. Also, with Mt. Otake (1,585m) as the main peak, the 10 mountains of Takada Otake, Mt. Ido, Mt. Akakura, Maedake, Mt. Tamogatake, Otake, Mt. Iodake, Mt. Ishikura, and Mt. Hinatake, and the 6 mountains, starting with Kita Hakkoda and Kushigamine, are called South Hakkoda. All of them open the hem nicely in all directions. Therefore, many rivers flow, and beautiful valleys and waterfalls can often be seen upstream. There are also many fumarole ruins such as Jigokunuma and hot springs as a relaxation of volcanoes.
