Build a Winter Hideout! Igloo-Making Experience.
Enjoy crafting a igloo and savor a steaming hot horse meat stew made with ingredients from Aomori and Towada city for lunch!
An igloo is a snow house built by stacking snow blocks.Originally crafted by the indigenous peoples of North America's frigid regions,
igloos are dome-shaped structures designed to withstand the harsh winter cold.
First, march across the snow together to pack it down tightly underfoot.
Once the snow is firm, use a special saw to cut it into block shapes.
Next, carry the snow blocks and stack them in a dome shape.
Adjust the balance carefully as you shape the structure — it’s trickier than it looks!
Creating a cool dome requires not just technique but also teamwork.
Igloo-building may seem simple, but it’s surprisingly deep and rewarding!
During lunchtime, we’ll serve a delicious horse meat stew made with fresh local ingredients from Towada.
This warm, hearty stew is the perfect remedy to revive your chilled body!
After a well-deserved break, you’ll be just a few steps away from completing your igloo masterpiece.
