When spring comes to Towada City, 156 cherry trees bloom all at once along Kanchogai Street, which was selected as one of the “100 Best Roads in Japan,” commonly known as the “Komakaido,” and the contrast between the 165 pines enhances the beauty of the cherry blossoms even more. Also, Koma Kaido is dotted with art works centered around the Towada Art Center, and cherry blossoms and art collaborations and are illuminated at night, so you can enjoy the scenery of Towada that is unique to this season. During the period, various events and street stalls, starting with the “Sakura Yabusame”, are lined up at the cherry blossom plaza and central park green space, and it is crowded with many citizens and tourists.
